Nathan Mohnke

Nathan Mohnke is a low brass player and music educator based in Middle Tennessee. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and Trombone Performance from Belmont University, class of 2022. During his time at Belmont, he performed with the university’s Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, Jazz Band I, and Chamber Brass Ensemble. He also served as the Education Coordinator for Belmont’s United Sound program, which provides musical opportunities for students with disabilities. In 2019, he marched with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, earning a silver medal with the corps. 

Since 2023, Nathan has been a band director at Siegel High School, where he teaches multiple concert bands, jazz band, and marching band. His students, both at Siegel and in his private studio, have achieved prestigious musical accomplishments, earning positions in Mid-State and All-State Bands, Governor’s School for the Arts, Interlochen Arts Camp, and world-class DCI corps. 

In addition to teaching, Nathan is an active performer with the Lakes Brass Quintet, which regularly performs locally and engages a broad audience through social media, where their content has garnered thousands of followers. He believes that music is for everyone and is passionate about helping students of all backgrounds discover their potential and develop a lifelong love for music.
